Wow! just wow. I haven't heard many good things about using electric pencil sharpeners, but that's why I bought this one. I don't use incredibly expensive pens, I buy a Cra-Z-Art 72 set for both. cost and variety. Colored pencils Cra-Z-art, 72 pcs. (10402) Thanks to this thing, my pencils are perfectly sharp almost immediately. I can hear the engine slowing down so I know the sharpening is almost done. But the points I'm getting from this thing are better than any hand sharpener I've used before. I really love this thing. I've included a picture of a pencil sharpened as well as a "before and after" of one of the pencils I sharpened. If you are looking for a quality electric sharpener then look no further. This will fully meet the need. By the way, if you're looking for a sharpener that can run on batteries, I don't think this is for you. It comes with a cable to plug it into the wall and I don't see any battery compartments.
