We replaced recessed lights and found that they were already connected with this type of connector. Rather than redoing both connections, I decided to purchase this pack so I could just hook up our new lightbulbs and connect directly to the prepared main wires. We encountered the problem that our lamps have too thin a wire to activate the locking mechanism. The wires just bent when plugged in. We ended up connecting the lights with 18G electrical wires to make them strong enough to use the plug-in method this plug requires. It took 2 minutes per bulb but got rid of the headache of rewiring the ceiling connections. All of the connectors we used from this pack worked great.
