Moves the air well. I'm in North Texas, it's July and August. This fan allows me to comfortably blow about 20 feet away into the garage I need to work in. Of course, the ambient air is warm, and this thing is initially set for 2 hours in the morning and 3 or 4 days later. we are very happy. have this air movement. I also use it on the terrace, it blows a lot and it's very nice. When you turn it on, you'll find that the air movement discourages insects from trying to get food from you. I was working in a tile in a bathroom and found that this can quickly dry out a room with air movement rather than using a dehumidifier to dry before sealing etc. The direction of the air and the speed at which it can move is very helpful in tasks to make it more convenient or faster to achieve the desired result. The FC-300 moves little air and is light enough to fit your needs and carry. You'll be amazed at the air movement compared to your traditional fan even in a 24" case. The noise is very manageable, as at settings 2 and below. You can easily speak and hear in the room. At a setting of 3 and up you can dry something out or try to keep it cool, or maybe channel air into areas where toxic things are happening like plasma cutting and the like. Noise gives way to other targets at this point. In my day there were many fans and very few met the needs of the likes of the XPower. Do not be shy. Take one for a spin
