I am using this to make my own Halloween motion detector. The trick I've found is to set the power saving mode (soft) otherwise I've noticed the lamps I'm using flicker. I would love it if Defiant could make a motion sensor with a manually adjustable motion timer instead of the fixed 1, 5 and 20 minute settings. The dial would be great if it had 10-30 seconds instead of 1 minute. Tested 270 degree detection and this thing works great for coverage. Will buy more to add more spirit items.
