These gloves really are very durable and great value. They are made of very thick leather, easy to put on and cover the whole arm. The only reason this isn't a 5 star rating is because they have an incredibly strong unpleasant odor that lingers on your skin or clothes after wearing them. I left them in the garage for a few days to air them out and while that helped the smell is still strong. I got them because I work with exotic animals like iguanas and monitor lizards, which have incredibly sharp claws and teeth during the breeding season and can be a bit unpredictable in temperament. These gloves saved my hands from blood and most likely a finger or two.
