Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great device in espresso machines

There are several reasons I give it only four stars out of five. First, it is not very simple and easy to use. Second, it requires labor and is not very easy to clean. Third, you need to develop a technique. Fourth, it's bulky and you need to buy a barista kit separately. Fifth, you still need to get a coffee grinder or buy ground coffee. The size of the coffee grounds is important. I wouldn't say regular ground coffee is good enough for an electric coffee maker. Oh, and you still need boiled and preferably filtered water, right? All in all, price and time, 30 minutes or so, I only give it four stars out of five. At the same time, there are several reasons why I gave him a four! of five stars. So, after that big list above, why am I still giving it four stars out of five? It makes a mean cup of joe first, baby! Second, it's a very intuitive experience, especially if you buy a good manual variable speed burr grinder. Third, it's a must-have when hiking and/or traveling to rural areas where you can't have good coffee. I love the foam this device produces. Attention, if you are buying this device for the first time and starting to develop your own technique, be careful with the amount of coffee you drink. This will be a stronger but much richer coffee aroma. You can really overdo it on the third and fourth cups. my technique The manual grinder I use allows you to manually adjust the grind of the coffee. I grind it so fine that the coffee grounds don't get into the coffee. In other words, as best I can without adding semolina to my coffee. The second important part of my technique is that when pumping to build pressure, when some coffee starts dripping from the first batch, I stop pumping. Then I stop and let it brew. You brew coffee in a French Press for the same reason.
