These little lights are perfect as backup lights. I ride my bike for work and go to the gym. Sometimes I get accidentally caught after dark without my usual riding gear. Because of this I need reliable but very small and light lights that I always have in my bike bag. These lanterns are very flat, making them easy to pack. They also require a bit of force to turn on. That's good because the other lights I've used as backups are so easy to turn on that they turn on the movement of objects in my bag. I only realize it a few weeks or months later when I pull out the flashlights in an emergency and realize the batteries are dead. The light is nice and bright. White won't light up the street, but at least people can see that I'm walking in their direction.
