Used it as a replacement for the CD/DVD burner on a Lenovo ThinkPad T430s to move the included hard drive into the expansion bay. This allowed me to plug the SSD into the main HDD slot and install Windows there. You can easily buy an mSATA drive and connect it to the RAM, but this slot only runs SATA II 3Gb/s, not the main bay which runs SATA III 6Gb/s. This might not seem like such a big deal, but it actually catches the eye of a power user like me. Also, mSATA drives get pretty hot, so holding them on your lap with an operating system installed on mSATA is a bit uncomfortable.
