I know it sounds weird, but I'm actually 5ft tall. I have a few stools that don't fold and are shorter, and others that fold but aren't compact or heavy-duty (good for other uses). So you can see I have a lot of stools and mini ladders. I needed something that could be easily taken out and put away. I'm so tired of jumping around switches or grabbing things off awkward stools to get out and use. Unless you're small, you just have no idea how difficult it is to achieve. Yes, it's a bit flimsy, but I just press it firmly when I open it, and I only paid $9.
