This is a great oven thermometer. The numbers are large and easy to read. This is accurate (confirmed with a thermocouple thermometer on my ExTech multimeter). But the bottom is too small for the trays in my oven. The base is triangular, about 1-1/2" on a side. The problem is that the wires on my oven stand are 1" apart. The thermometer will stand on a stand, but that's very unreliable, and the slightest Vibration or shock and the thermometer will fall and fall through the stand usually to the bottom of the oven Not good I'll keep the thermometer to myself but I think I'll have to find a small heat resistant plate or something to put it on with it it doesn't fall off I would use a hook but when I have the racks in their normal baking configuration there isn't enough room under the rack for a thermometer (because I have two other racks under my top shelf) and nothing to hang the thermometer on over the top ledge If you make the base square (about 1-1/2 inches on a side) with some folded down edges that may snag on the oven grate wires If she is hit by the widely spaced oven grate wires, the likelihood of her being knocked is greatly reduced. great progress.
