The stainless steel telescopic antenna is really annoying in the car. Put it on in ten minutes. I used velcro so you can move the dipole vertically if you like! Put it on the roof of my truck and it didn't work at all, move it to the window like the instructions say which is great, I also bought one for Ham's cabin, both BCT15X scanners added 14-24 miles to my range and for the price I say it's a win. Yes, this is a Chinese quality control device, so be kind to the wire, don't close the door or crank the window all the way up or you'll be shorted out. I've drilled holes but I have OCD and it needs to look professional but not everyone wants to drill holes in a 2019 Cummins 2500 lol. Enjoy!
