It is really better than the stock antenna. Happy.

I have this on my Whistler TRX1 when I have it in my truck. It got stuck on the rear window (inside) just below the third brake light. We recently had a mass and I could clearly hear the message from 15 to 20 miles away. It captures our county's backbone system (fire and emergency services), but I pretty much only have to scan their system. I put it in the radio, not the antenna.

Pros
  • Compatible with Radio Shack Radio Scanner: PRO-2018 PRO-197 PRO-650 PRO-163 PRO-405 PRO-528 PRO-668 PRO-94 PRO-404 PRO-95 PRO-62 PRO-83;
Cons
  • Scarce Manual

Cheap solution!

The stainless steel telescopic antenna is really annoying in the car. Put it on in ten minutes. I used velcro so you can move the dipole vertically if you like! Put it on the roof of my truck and it didn't work at all, move it to the window like the instructions say which is great, I also bought one for Ham's cabin, both BCT15X scanners added 14-24 miles to my range and for the price I say it's a win. Yes, this is a Chinese quality control device, so be kind to the wire, don't close the door or

Outstanding build quality

This is one of those "I wish I had this on me" devices. The production is above average. The coaxial cable is marked, but too small for my old eyes. The antenna consists of two rubber duckies installed in the form of a dipole. Undoubtedly, it has severe reception losses, but with relatively powerful transmitters for local police and fire stations, or a local repeater, this is sufficient for most scanners. This is not a DX antenna. This is a simple, fast surveillance antenna that you can attach…

Cons
  • Good, but not great

Great little antenna for TX and RX

I originally bought this for my new Uniden Bearcat Trunk Scanner but ended up with an Anytime Dual Band Two Way Radio having been a first responder for over 30 years. I just had to find the right adapter. Bingfu VHF UHF Car Truck Antenna for Anytime Two Way Radio. It works great for both TX and RX. I also bought a second one for the scanner I originally bought the antenna for and I attached it to my bedroom window (inside). I live in an extremely rural area and in the middle of the South Jersey
