I use this to sharpen my ax and Fiskars hatchet. They have thin blades that fit into a recess that positions them for grinding wheels. My old ax and hatchet (unbranded) are too thick to fit in the recess. After 100 hits back and forth you get a good edge. It's pretty easy once you get used to it. The case is thin plastic and a few tiny rubber feet have already come loose. It doesn't matter much, but it doesn't inspire confidence. Not up to the quality of Fiskars axe, hatchet and scissors, but ok for the price.
