Review on ☕ Black+Decker KE3000S-KIT Stainless Steel Gooseneck Kettle, Pour Over Coffee Set, 1L by Natasha Williams

Cheaply made - coffee takes about 10 minutes - doesn't keep warm

A long time ago I used filters and enjoyed coffee out of them. It's similar to the French Press, just a little harder, like I did. I chose this because I was itching to get back to my watering days. Instructions for preparing the first cup of Pour Over are included with the device. The kettle works well and heats water quickly with electricity. The spout is set to pour out water quickly, which is important when overflowing. I wish the kettle had a sound so you know when the water is the right temperature. Instead, all you have to do is listen when the water boils. It also looks cheap as it is very light. The coffee filter is functional. Other brands use a ceramic dripper, which will probably work better than a plastic dripper. The pourover fits perfectly into the supplied glass carafe. You can also use this filling for most coffee mugs to brew a cup. The glass carafe holds up to 5 cups of coffee, but cools down pretty quickly. I was glad that sample filters came with the device as I didn't have the right paper filters yet. It also included a coupon for your first box of paper filters. This method requires you to use paper cone filters. What disappointed me the most was the filter. I prefer ceramic because it's washable and you can get the coffee smell out. However, a plastic filter works just like a ceramic filter. You put in a paper filter (size 2 - and they give you a few to try), add the grounds and then slowly pour the water over the grounds and strain it into the carafe. The carafe is made of glass with a plastic lid. You can't keep it warm and it gets cold within 10 minutes. This makes about 2 cups. If you used the Melitta system, the pour-over system is the same. For the money, I prefer a stainless steel French press.
