A good replacement that even a self-taught layman can handle
Contrary to what many reviewers thought, it wasn't actually that bad. My screen was completely smashed and it took about 20 minutes to remove with a hair dryer and the tools that came with it. Work slowly near the home button to avoid damaging the ribbon cable. I found it useful to have a strip and tape to pick up small pieces of glass. If the prospect of this craft scares you, watch the tutorials on YouTube a few times and feel free to come back to refresh your memory. It only took me an hour. Did you get it!
