Review on LG 32UN650-W 32-Inch 3840x2160P Borderless Monitor with Adaptive Sync, Anti-Glare Screen, High Dynamic Range (HDR) by Jose Ward

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great crisp IPS display with beautiful vivid colors and a nice flat viewing angle

Great 32" 4K monitor. Nice colors thanks to IPS, good visibility from different angles and I like the control with a single joystick. The cable is non-standard, pluggable and short, but it fits my power conditioner. Worked two days, Installs in minutes, it's a keeper I use the LG UN650 IPS side-by-side with my relatively new Philips 328E 32"4k VA, by far the biggest difference is that the color on the UN650 IPS is much better, deeper and brighter, making the VA 328E's screen look washed out The UN650 IPS flat panel has a good angle and the 328E is curved so I don't lose screen real estate The price is a double-sided coin The first 32-inch 4k IPS display for $450 new is amazing and worth the extra $100 over a VA display, be it 1 step below or another brand, I remember buying some HP 2k 30 inch IPS displays Bought used on eBay years ago for $600 which was a steal for a new $2000 monitor these HP will not work on Windows 10 which is already that old. Then came cheap 28-inch 4k TA monitors that required reading glasses but were good for programming. Now about the same price as a 28 inch TA and $150 less than a used 2k IPS monitor I get a brand new 4k IPS monitor with twice the resolution on a larger monitor. Screen. The other side of the coin is that I just spent $450 on a monitor when I really needed it and it was worth it. 4k movies on the Firestick look fine but a bit dim after getting used to my now older 4k LED TV just tested with Avengers: Infinity War. The audio is good out of the standard jack when amplified through my Fiio and Sennheiser headphones. I haven't played games in years so I don't care about 120 or 144hz which IPS may not have yet and cost double or more. I have this monitor mainly for programming and office applications and I am very satisfied with it, great purchase. Thank you LG
