Review on ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Garmin StreetPilot c330 Portable GPS Navigator - 3.5-Inch Screen (Discontinued Model) by Mark Estrada

Good if you pay the used price for it.

. Unfortunately, it turns out that a GPS that has been used elsewhere and then sat unused for a long time (in the seller's warehouse) will take some time and effort to get it working again. So it wasn't available early in my trip when I needed it most. It was not charged at all and could not track satellites. No use until I got to my destination where I could charge it overnight and let it run in front of the car (inside the house) so it determines its new location. The related FAQ is "Why isn't my Garmin device tracking satellites?". Now that it's charged and finding satellites, it's working fine. The software and maps are a bit outdated. Old maps don't bother me - I'm still referring to paper maps and they are much older. The route calculation was good enough. They promised me a 3 hour drive where it used to take me 3.5 hours and in fact their route was the best. But it annoys me that he just tells me (voice) that I need to turn left or right without naming the street or route I'm turning onto - I have to look at the text on the screen to do that. And it's tricky because the latch that secures it to the windshield warped from the heat and broke quickly. So I have it in the passenger seat and I need to pick it up to look at it or ask the passenger to check the details of the itinerary. Finally, according to the FAQ, I downloaded the Garmin app for Windows to download software later, but it refused to identify the GPS when connected to my computer via USB. I bought it used through the Revain Marketplace. At least it works and does its job. So it's worth the $67 I paid for it, but no more.
