Review on 🔧 New Genuine GM 55573746 Camshaft Cover - Improved Replacement: Part 25198874 by Vincent Hurst

Installation went smoothly. I just removed all the old 8mm bolts, removed all the old valve covers and replaced them with this part and ran in the 8mm bolts that came with the kit. I liked that the 7 screws were non-removable, installation was simple and easy. I used an 8mm ratchet screwdriver to secure the valve cover. I, like the other reviewers, wasn't given any torque instructions/specs (I didn't want to break the plastic, so I used a screwdriver ratchet and didn't even turn the screws. I may regret it, but it works for now). The seal on the old valve cover was cracked, leaking oil, and every time we turned on the heater we could smell all those fumes in the cabin (you might want to change the cabin air filter, too).
