I upgraded a Lincoln MKZ Sync II system to Sync III and needed to make changes to the APIM to restore all the settings my car originally had and this helped forscan

Very good I was 2 cheap ELM's -clones . everyone can read the $12, but only a few can write back information. I upgraded a Lincoln MKZ Sync II system to Sync III and needed to make changes to the APIM to get all my options back to what my car originally had and this helped with Forscan with no problem. The only catch was that initially I thought I had to connect the computer to OBI, but I didn't. Just turn on Blu-tooth on the computer and then run Forscan. It will be found and connected. The first time it asks for a 4-digit code 1234, after that no more. One thing isn't really marked which side of the switch is HScan or MScan, so toggle it either way until it works. ………………. it works and works great.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Unreliable
