Although I own the exact same device with a different manufacturer name, GE has also tagged this device in their inventory. The timer met my requirement to turn the dehumidifier on and off at a specific time of day each day. The power rating of the strip is also a key factor in safety and reliability. My dehumidifier has a maximum power of 575W, the strip has a maximum power of 1500W, which is more than enough for my needs. For your safety, please DO NOT EXCEED the maximum power of the strip! Check the batteries for the timer every 4-6 months and replace them if the LCD screen looks weak, the timer does not have NVRAM (Non-Volatile Memory). However, if the batteries die and the power is cut, you will have to reprogram it. More importantly, the schedule will not work.
