I have hand cut holes and slots in my ranch leather for many years. My hands and eyes aren't as strong as they used to be, and these hole punches are great! I only got them yesterday but I had a few things to do so I've already used them. As usual they needed some cleaning after the manufacturing and shipping process but that was to be expected so they wouldn't rust before I received them. Cleaning was quick and easy. They are more than sharp enough for my purposes. I put them on various leathers that needed holes and used my 1 ton arbor press and they cut through 9 ounce leather like butter. I've used a few of them with a hammer to see how well they work this way and they worked fine. I have to admit it was a bit tricky as you didn't have room for your finger when using the hammer so be careful! I think I will only use them on the arbor press. I am very happy with them and have no doubt that they will come in handy on the bench.
