Wanted to use them to hang pictures but ended up using them to attach Ikea plastic boxes to my sewing room pegboard system since Ikea has discontinued the production lines called Plaggis. I had crates but left the mounting bases with our old house when we sold it because they were attached to the pegboard prior to installation - meaning I would have to remove them after removing the pegboard - which hasn't had to happen since we sold the house whilst I was spending the winter in Miami and I didn't want to worry about it anymore. So I had all the Pluggis hanging boxes but nothing to hang them on until I noticed they were almost the same thickness as the Pluggis bases. And the holes in the perforated plate also matched the holes in the spikes - so WIN/WIN.
