Not suitable for speakerphone

This was the second 'radio' I've bought. The first was only $90 and was terrible for the speakerphone. The built in microphone was too far away and I had to shout for people to hear me. So I bought this device specifically for an external microphone. It sucks, or doesn't even work, I can't tell. I even bought a higher quality mic thinking that might be the problem. I wrote to the seller and they said they needed to speak to service but never got a reply. Hence the bad rating. The rest of the device is fine. In fact, this is just a tablet with a radio tocar and GPS. You can connect it to WiFi or a hotspot and sign in with your Google account to install other apps. The touchscreen can be a bit sluggish, but not bad. I'm having a little trouble dragging the radio tuner to the right station. It would be nice if you could enter the train station. My steering wheel buttons were very easy to program, a big plus. GPS also seems to work well. I'm a big fan of WAZE, so I use it for navigation. The download time of the radio is about 20 seconds. I'm on my way before I can hear the music. The nice thing is that the overview camera turns on even if the device is not fully charged. If I could get an external mic to work I would give it 4 stars.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
