Review on ๐Ÿ”’ Satin Nickel Signstek Electronic Keypad Door Knob Lock: Enhanced Security with Encryption Function by Jake Solorzano

It doesn't snap.

Bought this door handle as a replacement. When we put it together before sticking it in the door, it worked great. But when we inserted it into the practice door, we found that the latch that locks the latch didn't work. We pulled it out and found that it had to be in a certain position for the latch to engage. OK. However, when we got to the door we wanted to install, that alignment didn't work to get the latch to click. We pulled it back out the door and twisted the rod a quarter turn until it clicked into place. We slid it back into the door and made sure the alignment stayed the same and the latch didn't click at all. Leaving the handle in the door, we rotated the bar left and right a quarter turn until it would not turn. We have a handle to lock the latch, but we didn't enter the password! It's a great looking pen with great features, but it defeats the purpose of getting a passcode pen a bit when the pen only locks when no password needs to be entered!

Pros
  • Universal bracket: Fits most standard doors and, thanks to the freely rotating handle, can be used on both left and right-hand doors. With an adjustable latch, it fits a back spacing of 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm).
Cons
  • Retrofittable
