I love this doorknob!

I don't have enough reviews for Revain products yet. But I MUST write a good review about it. I bought one of these and hung it on my front door which is totally weatherproof. I was worried it would age badly or maybe just stop working. Well that was 2 years ago! It looked brand new after 3 or 4 months so I bought a second and a third. Both have performed great without aging at all. I'm posting this today because one of my renters said one of them is beeping so this is my FIRST time changingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Versatility: Comes with a backup power supply in case the batteries run out. Note: The castle only tolerates drizzle, not heavy rain. Not suitable for use in areas where it always rains.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

It doesn't snap.

Bought this door handle as a replacement. When we put it together before sticking it in the door, it worked great. But when we inserted it into the practice door, we found that the latch that locks the latch didn't work. We pulled it out and found that it had to be in a certain position for the latch to engage. OK. However, when we got to the door we wanted to install, that alignment didn't work to get the latch to click. We pulled it back out the door and twisted the rod a quarter turn untilโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Universal bracket: Fits most standard doors and, thanks to the freely rotating handle, can be used on both left and right-hand doors. With an adjustable latch, it fits a back spacing of 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm).
Cons
  • Retrofittable

I LOVE THIS CASTLE. Works great, especially for the price.

So far I have installed two of them. One in my basement to keep the kids out of the boiler room. One in the main bathroom so our daughter doesn't lock us in all the time! Pretty easy to follow guide. Whatever you do, unless you are on the side of the door that always opens, DO NOT close the door halfway through installation to see if the deadbolt goes into the lock bar. I almost had to cut out my door before I realized I could insert another door's handle into the hole to turn the mechanism. Iโ€ฆ

Really good lock for the money.

I have a lot of experience with keypad locks. I have worked with models from IEI, Marks, Alarm Lock, Isonas, as well as consumer offerings from American Lock, Schlage and Kwikset. my thoughts on this, in no particular order: * Ease of installation. If you know the difference between a Phillips and flathead screwdriver, you should be able to install it. BUT: If your house was built in the 70's, look at the latch on your door. The little thing that actually keeps the door closed. If it's straight

Pros
  • Increased Security: Designed with an encryption function, this door knob avoids code spying.
Cons
  • Appearance
