I literally am afraid to use a pressure cooker until I heard of instapot and started researching on it more. So, I gave it a try and I am loving it. My basmati rice comes out so perfect. Here is my recipe, 5 cups basmati and 6 and 1/4 cups of water. First wash rice in cold water then drain well. Start the saute in instapot and when ready put 5 Tbs of olive oil then saute for at least 10 mins or finished the saute timer. Put water. Close lid. Then start pressure cooker with 15 mins time and the setting "keep warm" to off. Once done wait 10 mins to release pressure then when ready fluff your rice. I also pressure cooked eggs and it was easy to peel. I did alot of pressure cooking even with frozen food and it just turns out great. For a newbie like me this is a wonderful addition in the kitchen. It makes cooking fast. Easy to operate and easy to clean. FYI, I have the 6 quart unit.
