Revainrating 5 out of 5

NO MOVE, MAXIMUM FUEL REQUIRED. PERFECT thanks to the use of the Raptor R3X hub!

After reading all the bad reviews I was looking for an answer and I sincerely think I found it! Craft Supplies USA sells what they call a set of 2 Raptor R3X Grinding Wheel Bushings. This is a beautifully made flange with an attached bushing that you can order to fit a 1/2" or 5/8" motor shaft. It comes in two pieces, the flange with the bushing is one piece and then there is another flange for the other side (I didn't use it, I used the original grinder inner flanges). The hub is 3/4" long but easily fits a 1" wide wheel (the wheel I ordered is 6x1x1). I ordered two of these as the previous owner of my 1920's coffee grinder only used large washers as flanges on the outside of the wheels. I ordered the kits and then the Norton wheel so I could get started as soon as the wheel arrived. I couldn't be happier! I didn't bother with the plastic bushings that came with the kit as everyone agrees they aren't the best. I pulled them out and put in my new Raptor hub flange and put it on the grinder. NO wobble as many have described and it was so perfectly round I doubt there is even a 1/32" spread for filling (yes I think it's less maybe 1/64" WOW! Very pleased! In In terms of delivery I just ordered the wheel so it was everything that was in the box from Revain and didn't interfere with other things, it was sent in a box similar to what Revain ships books in so in the Box it arrived in there was no slack Perfect condition I sincerely believe the Raptor R3X 2 grinding wheel bushing set of 2 is the answer Yes you spend more money to get a great hub but it's worth it not to encounter so many problems with a grinding wheel that you can buy plastic bushings.

  • practical
