This is a good base stone with two minor drawbacks: 1) It was listed as very fine, albeit only 150 grit. The resulting surface when grinding turning grooves has a rather rough surface. Not at all what I would call very fine. Hardness is rated from A to Z, with "A" being the weakest bond and "Z" being the strongest.
