This is an OPTICAL DIGITAL audio cable. either it works or it doesn't work. There is none between them. When it comes to sound quality, there is no marketing stuff involved with these types of cables. So don't be fooled into thinking that the gold-plated connector affects actual performance, it doesn't. It sounds the same as any other working optical cable. The difference is in the design, here the metal connector offers a stronger physical connection compared to the cheap flimsy plastic connectors I usually use. A thicker, stiffer cable is obviously more resistant to kinks. But to be honest, this "premium" cable isn't that much more expensive than a regular cable and is still a fraction of the rip-off that mainstream stores charge for these super cheap cables. Besides, he looks cool.
