Review on Nitra-Zorb Aquarium Canister Filter Filtration Pouch - Size 6, 1-Count Bag (2-pack) by Kamil Campbell

This product was recommended to me by my aquarist who later admitted he had never used it. I rarely write reviews and this is probably my second product review in my entire life. Like most aquarists, I had a nitrate problem and was keen to use this product. First, my entire 40 gallon aquarium turned into a white mist. My poor neon tetras couldn't take it and started dying every day. One day 3, another day 5, another day 6. It went like this for about 7 days. Also, I tested the water with my API test kit and the nitrates came out bright orange and I loved it! until I check all other pH levels, high pH levels, ammonia and nitrite. Did I literally make all other tests easier? Then I realized that this was nothing more than a scam. It just adds a little bit of color to make your test results look like the nitrate is a lighter orange instead of a darker orange or marum. This is nothing but an excuse. This product is for people who are desperate enough to try anything to reduce nitrates in their aquarium water. The only thing you can do is not to overfeed the fish, have a decent flow filter and not change the whole environment so that when you change the water you do not remove the biological filter and cause an ammonia surge. I currently have 10 batches of Elodia aquarium plants and my precious neons love them. It lowers nitrate levels, although you can't tell this in a water test. Add more snails! Thank you for reading.
