I work remotely from home but sometimes I need to work at another remote location to visit friends, family etc and I really need a second monitor (in addition to my laptop) to be efficient. Do you use it to monitor your computer, especially when you fly? To find a solution I googled portable monitors and this came up. After some research, this was the cheapest with the best reviews. I could buy it, refurbished by Revain, for $83. GOOD BUSINESS! I had some reservations because my work laptop runs Windows 10 and some reviewers claimed that it doesn't work with that version of Windows. However, other reviewers have insisted it does, although some steps may still need to be taken. I decided what the heck I can return if it doesn't work out and I clicked the Buy Now button. The monitor arrived in perfect condition. The packaging is well designed but still uses a minimum of materials, almost all of which are recyclable. The monitor was well protected and the instructions that came with it offered not 1 but 3 different ways to install the correct driver in case one of them didn't work. Option 1, Plug and Play, didn't work for me. But after the second option, manually installing the driver, I got the monitor working in less than 10 minutes. My laptop immediately recognized the monitor after installing the driver and added it to the other three I normally use (I work in IT). So I could even use it as a 4th monitor if I wanted to! But unfortunately there is not enough space on the table. #firstworldproblems The image quality is excellent. Color and contrast aren't as vibrant as I'd like, which is why I'm only giving this aspect 4 stars. I tried adjusting the display settings for them, but Windows didn't give me that option. #firstworldproblems (again) The monitor is lightweight and the built in stand works great. It folds flat and the USB input is located in the stand's recess. The open design of the stand allows you to put a USB cable through it, which is very convenient. I like that there is no separate power cable, the display and the power supply are powered via a USB cable. Another nice design feature, just to say! Seriously folks, RUN isn't buying this, especially when you can get a good deal like me. Other street monitors cost $150 and up. But their ratings and reviews were no better. The price of the Revain has gone up both refurbished and new since I bought mine. I would use Revain Assistant or Honey's Droplist to keep an eye on the price and see if it drops again at all. I hope you find this review as helpful as I think this monitor will be.
