No problems with the lid
I almost bought this tiny cute animal cage because of the lid reviews. My guess is that the lid is only a problem when the baby is running and jumping with the cage. I can't understand why so many more people are having trouble with the lid. I don't have a problem with the lid, but neither do we walk or confuse the bug cage, especially when it's busy. So buy according to how your child plays. We are currently hosting a woolly bear caterpillar. The cage is small so I wouldn't make it a permanent home, but it's perfect for short-term guests. The light is a charming touch. I love that you can open the little flap in the lid to put things inside.
