Review on 🔌 54mm Portafilter Hands-Free Dosing Funnel for Breville Barista (Black) by Amy Anderson

This thing is absolutely essential, I don't know how I would live without it. Really solves the problem of coffee dispensing everywhere and when used in conjunction with the distributor/calibration tamper makes it easy to get perfect stable shots. I grind one shot, tap out the port filter, then grind a second and do the same with no chaff anywhere. After hitting the counter, all the particles are well seated in the filter and when I put this unit away I almost never spill 5 stars. However, the price and the build quality of this device leave a lot to be desired. I feel like I paid full retail price for the prototype. Something used to make the mold for the actual product. The plastic feels brittle and after only 6 weeks of use it started to deform. I expect to have to buy another one by the end of the year. Like I said I can't live without it so I'm hesitant to buy another once it breaks but at this price point I feel like it should be made from a much stronger material. I would happily pay a little more for a metal version that will last a long time. Life.
