Review on ๐ŸŽถ Upgraded Diamond Replacement Turntable Phonograph by Kevin Singleton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

(Most) of my omissions fixed!

I've just received these replacement needles and I have to admit I'm pleasantly surprised. I've had two albums with skipping issues - one of them, Gorillaz' Demon Days, is actually notorious for skipping at all depending on the pressure. My album Gorillaz was impossible to listen to, with gaps on every track. At the time I was using my turntable's starter pin, which was sapphire with a metal console. It worked fine for most shots, but gaps got on my nerves. I'm relatively new to the recording and felt discouraged. My turntable, which isn't a suitcase player, worked great for the most part, but then again those annoying gaps between two records! But after doing some research, I decided to try these diamond substitutes. Long story short, they fixed most of the gaps on the Gorillaz album and another problem the Foo Fighters had. The sound also seems a bit clearer overall. Strangely, my volume now seems a bit lower; It feels like my songs are a quarter softer than before. I think a previous review mentioned this. In any case, more testing is needed to confirm this, but even if it turns out to be true, it still all sounds a little better, and the gap correction is great. A few areas are still missing here and there, but they are very few, and if this needle can make an inaudible album almost perfect again, well, I didn't expect such a confirmation. Attaching the new stylus turned out to be a bit more difficult than expected, as it took a little fiddling to get it to snap into place. Again, I'm a relative newbie here, so take that with a grain of salt. Overall I would recommend them. I have more tests to make sure, including some more bass-heavy recordings I'll get this week (because modern bass-heavy songs tend to be missed), but so far I'm really impressed. I smiled and danced to a song I couldn't dance to before, and that's not the point, is it?
