As expected. For some vegetables and carrots I would use a lighter one than others. Happy with the purchase. I've just received it so I don't know how it will hold up over time but with proper care, cleaning/sanitizing and not leaving it in water it should last a while. I wouldn't expect it to last forever, but it's great for cleaning veggies and fruits. I also like natural wood.
