. Then I started looking for details in other fans' descriptions and found the same. Hunter didn't mention it in the description so I called them. They confirmed that there was no warning because his materials did not contain these substances. I also didn't want a remote controlled fan or wall switch, just a simple chain. My electrician was doing other chores so he installed the fan himself. It was easy to do so I suspect anyone who is comfortable and good at working on stairs could easily install it. I couldn't put a star in the heat category if that meant the fan blades reversed and pushed warm air down. Winter hasn't started here yet. But we checked that the switch that changes direction works! Would I buy again, maybe for another room in the house.
