Xero tries other running shoes. I switched to these shoes from the Vibram FF V-Run because the latter gave me blisters. I now run with Correct Toes to keep my toes apart. In general I am satisfied with the purchase. Pros: - These are Xero shoes. They have zero drop, roomy toe, flexible sole, no arch support and a spring at the toe. Xero doesn't make pseudo-minimalist shoes: they're versatile. She is easy. Not as light as Lem's Primal 2 or Vibram V-Run, but still very light; lighter than priority. - Very beautiful! Most athletic shoes (including some Xero sneakers) are downright ugly. I like how the dark red color fades into blue on the back. Glacial Blue looks good too. Although they are running shoes, I would love to wear them to the gym or everyday. - No bubbles or hot spots. Much better for my feet than the V-Run. As a running shoe, they are expertly designed. The outsole rises closer to the front of the toe, toe guard extends to the big toe (good for durability), outsole treads are pavement friendly, and there are additional lace holes to create a running loop. Cons: - As another reviewer noted, they don't fit well. It feels loose around the heel. After comparing the shoe to other minimalist shoes (I have a few), the issue is that they don't taper in the midfoot. Not a problem if you tie your laces tighter, but it's bad enough to deduct a star from the rating. - The insoles slide back when you run. I suspect it is due to the poor fit. Now I attach the inserts with double-sided tape. After all, these shoes run a little small. Maybe go up a half size if you decide to buy. If Xero ever makes an HFS v2 I hope they fix the fit. Otherwise it's a great running shoe that I enjoy running in.
