Whirley-Pop Advanced Popcorn Machine (Aluminium, Metal Gear)

I received my Whirley-Pop in July 2010. It still works and I hesitated to update it. But I live in a small apartment and only have an induction cooker for cooking. I needed and got one that works on an induction cooktop. Cook N Home 02627 arrived today (6 days after ordering) and I've made my first batch of popcorn with it. Both panels have the same design and appearance. The difference is that Whirley-Pop is aluminum and Cook N Home is stainless steel, except both have gears that look like cast metal. Towards the end of the cooking process, both pressure cookers may have their stirring wires stuck - do not force them to turn as this will break the gears. Instead, gently shake the popper back and forth to loosen the popcorn and drop it to the bottom of the pot where it finishes cooking. EVOO Cups, place the popper on the large hot plate of the electric stove, turn the knob to medium-high and slowly turn about 1 turn in 10 seconds. At the 2 minute mark the clap becomes more than 2 clap per second and I increase the crank speed to about 1 revolution per 2 seconds. In the 3rd minute the popping rate drops below 1 per second, I take the popper out of the heater and turn off the heater. Cook N Home's cooking instructions aren't specific, so I tried the same technique as Whirley-Pop. I added the corn and butter, put the stovetop on the stove and set the temperature to 360 degrees Fahrenheit. It worked. In the 2nd minute the banging started and in the 3rd minute the banging stopped. (Only 3 minutes passed from start to finish.). The popcorn taste and texture are great. My wife and I think Cook N Home is the best I've ever had. The only concern I have is that the stove top can be a bit heavy for some, making transferring bubbly cereal from one hot pot to another container difficult and dangerous. In this case, please note that the attachment can be removed and the fizzers removed - avoid steam!
