Great for snails! - Reptiles and Amphibians

I bought this as an upgrade to a 1.5 gallon cylinder, thank you for considering it using the housing of a common garden (spherical dome) snails. The tank arrived well packaged and safe. By opening the front doors and removing the top, you can easily wipe down and install the tank. The doors fit together well, with no gap between them, and are securely locked with a latch under the handles. The top of the screen is also securely secured with four rotating locking mechanisms. On the top, behind the screen mount, are two ventilation louvers that can be adjusted with sliding louvers to control airflow. Each ventilation bar consists of three round holes, about the size of an eraser, that can be completely covered. The tank arrived with a styrofoam backdrop in the shape of a rock, which I removed. With the background removed I have four large viewing windows to easily see my snails. Because the top screen is metal, it's difficult to see inside the tank, especially when the overhead light is on. Overall I am very happy with my purchase; it's ideal for snails (as I imagine other "insect"-like animals too. I'm not familiar with the needs of reptiles or amphibians and can't directly comment on the suitability of tanks for keeping them. I hope my description is somewhat helpful for those who want to buy this aquarium for other animals.
