As others have said this fan looks great but the way the blades are mounted is TERRIBLE. You have to get the screw to balance on the screwdriver and line up the holes properly, it's a mess. I've found that with a two switch connection you can turn on the light on one and the fan on the other. Just connect the pink/red wire to the blue one. You'll have to fiddle around with the remote to keep it that way, but after that you won't need the remote anymore (unless you want to adjust the fan speed). I also don't like the screws on the top to hold the fan mounting mechanism. . There should be something at this price point to cover them.
