I installed this system 3 years ago after a major overhaul and found that the high iron content in my plumbing system was causing the rust to discolour the grout in my bathroom . I can't comment on the ease of installation as I had it installed by a professional plumber in conjunction with other work. I will say that this immediately affected the iron content of the water and stopped staining. In fact, I bought a meter that measures iron levels and measured it before and after installation and saw a huge drop in iron levels. Filters work "behind the scenes" and continue to remove contaminants. While my specific goal was to remove iron/rust, I am also pleased with the very clean taste of the water. I didn't notice any off-flavors before adding the filter, but now I'm enjoying an even purer taste. Perfect Water Technologies, the company that makes this product, impressed me that they have much more contact with their customers than I am used to from a large manufacturer. They review me annually to make sure the product continues to meet my needs and answer any questions I may have. I am very pleased with the ease of use and the value of the whole home water filter!
