The set I received was no different than the one in the photo. Color and softness are great. I love this deep rich purple color. I will do gray and black with touches of silver and pink. I love it. The throw pillows aren't as stuffed and full as I'd like and they have a few spots where the filling is sticking out, but I'll just add some filling and sew them back together. The duvet is super soft. Not as full and fluffy as the more expensive ones but if you like me and are on a budget I'd say it's perfect. I like heavier and fuller duvets, but I put a very soft duvet underneath. 7 pieces for this price, it's perfect for me. i really like it
