Slow but enough for streaming

Display: The largest value is shown on the display. It has a good color, backlight and size for the price. The contrast is actually pretty good too. Note, however, that performance may not match 1080p video. If you don't mind random frame drops at 1080 or downscaling to 720p, you're fine. The bezels are as thin or thinner than many $100 tablets in the 10-11 inch size range. The screen is bright enough, but the colors aren't very good. The resolution is good too (just over 1080p vertically). The screen is bright enough for indoor use and sufficient for casual daylight use. I wouldn't use it as an e-reader or live media streamer. Daylight. There are many color correction, contrast and brightness settings that will make a difference for e-book readers and some media consumers. Sound: The sound is loud enough even if you have a fan or something in the background. I can easily understand dialogue without overloading it at or near maximum volume. However, for most dialogue, I want the volume to be at least 80%. The tablet obviously doesn't keep up with the operating system, there are delays when scrolling, and even the keyboard lags heavily. Updates have fixed a lot of this, but it's still noticeable. YouTube video drops frames at 1080 resolution but does not freeze or buffer. This is a decent electronic photo frame. I wouldn't recommend it for checking email due to performance issues. Typing is annoying. Other: There was a decent screen protector on the screen but there was a speck of dust in there so I took it off. I recommend the seller to just attach the protector without installing it or have better quality control. I'm using this specifically for an app called "Gameglass" and it just about suffices.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Infinitely slow
