Better than expected
I mean... I've been using it for an hour and I already like it. When I warmed up for the first time, I didn't feel anything apart from a slight plastic smell. I also used a damp sponge to clean the inside of the fryer and basket before first use. The manual doesn't say anything about it, but it's common knowledge that you should do it.
