Review on DNA Motoring ITK 0019 RD Aluminum Intake by Marco Cervantes

Works, but not for the car.

The problem with the product is that it does not match the advertisement. Bought for my 2001 Honda Civic Ex but the mounting hardware can be questionable. The main problem I have is that the second pipe which is furthest from the inlet cannot be placed in the bay at all. I've tried several angles and the idea seems to be for the filter to hang down in the front bumper and the tube to come out where the right front headlight is. Not such a big deal since you can take that second pipe and throw it away while still using the intake pipe as a short cold air intake. However this solves other problems, now you have to place it so that the filter doesn't draw warm air around the engine which can be tricky when turning. Finally, the hole next to where you mount the air intake is too big and doesn't fit the sensor properly. I had to use glue to attach it and even the stock sensor harness is a bit tight. All in all, don't recommend buying this if you think it's an easy setup because it isn't. But if you don't mind changing it to make it work, then I can say it works. TLDR; The product works quite well but there are compromises in the quality of the product. Pros: The filter is great, way better than what Specter sells, but it's not branded. The welts are lightweight aluminum but are easily scratched. with pleasant breathing sounds of the engine. Cons: I'd say there's no point in buying with the stock exhaust, it restricts airflow too much. useless, short air intake, much cheaper, sensor placement could be improved and the sensor hole is literally just a cnc hole no fitting instructions WILL NOT FIT 2001 CIVILIAN WITHOUT MODIFICATIONS!
