Review on OMOTON Wireless Keyboard Receiver Computer by Ronald Lunn

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice keyboard, not so nice mouse

EDIT - 3 months update using this keyboard and mouse set. Over time I got used to the keyboard. It took me about a week? I think? Everything is fine now - all buttons work fine. But the reason I downgraded my rating from 5 stars to 3.5 is because of the mouse. As I mentioned in my original review, this mouse is much quieter than others I've used, including trackpads, which is great for a new era where we're conducting all our meetings over video. However, if the mouse is left idle for too long (anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes) it will turn off and I can start it up again either by unplugging and plugging the USB back in or by tapping the mouse on a surface. until the red light comes on. Adding a mouse to a keyboard is nice and all (it was enough to make me buy this product because it seemed like some kind of bonus), but I suggest you just use the keyboard and look for one look for another mouse. I bought the white version and it feels very smooth and matte. The keys take a while to get used to — pretty much the keyboards you find in computer labs at the public library — so if you're familiar with one on your laptop, it's time to make a new friend. The mouse is also much quieter than most. It doesn't have a loud click, just a muffled click - another new pal. Overall a good keyboard for the price. I bought it to go with my Surface laptop because I like to hold my laptop away on calls when I should be on camera, but then the laptop's buttons are so far apart my hands are in front of me like a Frankenstein. Now my laptop can stand on a small stand and this keyboard should help me look more normal on camera. Happy typing!
