I bought this product for my mother. She suffers from chronic neck pain from hanging around and reading. I am not a doctor but I can say that I would recommend this to anyone in need of relief. She was in tears for the first 30 seconds as she put it on. I thought she was in pain but she said it was the best she had felt in months. It was 30 seconds. She is currently holding it for 30 minutes to an hour at a time. She had never realized she was bending over so much and constantly looking down to read.
