A great tool for your money! Of course, this isn't the best tool, but it does the job for a dime. I'll tell you a little secret. Take the "cage" portion of this tool (don't attach it to the worm gear yet), place it over the valve spring retainer and hit it hard with a rubber mallet. Now you can slightly squeeze the spring and pull out the holders. I was able to use this to compress the dual compass cam springs (rated at 400 in/lbs) and not deform the instrument. The heads were Olds 455 heads so this tool will work on everything from 125cc bikes to big Mercian V8s.
