Review on Optimized Search: UST BlastMatch Fire Starter Tool by Nicole Fisher

When I first saw BlastMatch I thought it was a great idea in a compact package. What could be easier? Open, push down, make a fire. Easy. In terms of features, it's pretty basic. The only design issue is the way it opens. Once you figure that out, everything will be fine as long as you don't cancel the striker. The biggest problem is the ferrosilicate material used. It is of poor quality, oxidizes and literally crumbles into dust. I believe it has a coating to stop oxidation but the first time you throw a spark the protection is broken and the clock is ticking. messed up.
