It's entirely silicone, so I don't heat any plastic in the microwave.
This product is made entirely of silicone, which is great, since I don't want to heat any plastic in my microwave -- whether it touches my food or just gets absorbed into the air. The cover works well to keep food particles from flying inside the microwave and causing a mess. The cover collapses into an almost-flat configuration, which allows it to take up less space, for storage. I wish it were an inch wider so that it would cover large dishes, but I know that it doesn't do any damage when it touches the food.
- One handle was broken when they arrived, clip on handle missing.
- Don’t buy! Very thin cheap plastic and came damaged.
